Ride into regions we have yet to map...
The
whole point of our tours is to ride into those off the
beaten track places and visit places most tourist would
never find but by riding the same route month in month year
in and year out with tourists defeats the object.
Unlike many companies we only ride 2 set tours per year
during the perfect season to ride in Northern Thailand and
the following season the routes will be changed.
Before we change the route however we need to find a new
great one! So, we sit in the office with maps in hand
to find a fantastic ride, interesting in the cultural aspect
and most importantly awesome scenery. We then set out
alone without customers and test it out (awful job but
someone has to do it). Once we have a rough plan we
then set up a survey tour where customers have the chance to
ride a brand new route into regions rarely ridden by western
tourists and all the while our team GPS the entire route.
Always great fun as we often get lost and most days we are
not entirely sure what will happen but as they say the best
plan is to have no plan just get on the bike and ride.

Adventure riders
If
you are the type of person who likes an itinerary with
everything laid out in black and white you probably wont
enjoy a survey tour...Mapping a new route after we find them is the easy part we also need to consider accommodations, restaurants, scenic spot and more and although we always find an hotel, resort, guest house we are not entirely sure what standard it will be until we get there and in some regions there may only be just the one.
All our trips involve off road riding and this is where the real fun comes in to the equation...There are still many roads in Thailand that have yet to be mapped but hundreds of kilometers of trails off road that have never been or probably ever will be mapped. This is where we concentrate on most of our own mapping with our GPS systems. At times we may find yourself 'in too deep' depending on your off road experience but, this is where the real fun and adventure begins. You do not need to have off road riding experience! Most of the trails will be dry and dusty and although steep in places usually easily navigated by experienced riders regardless of off road ability. Either way our team are always on hand to help you out if the going gets tough!

The
reason we survey is to bring together a whole group of maps made
by ourselves for future use and most importantly to offer a wide
variation in the tours we operate. Our survey tours are
very rarely limited to just Thailand although we give you an
option to ride Thailand only or from Thailand into Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos and soon Malaysia.Is it Free?

to disappoint but it is not free to ride a survey tour with us
however, in return for your opinions on the route, and a
hopefully a testimonial we do offer our survey tours at a slightly reduced
rate.
Survey tours are very important to us as they give us valuable information regarding new routes but most importantly, solid feedback from the customers riding with us. To make this as beneficial as possible for us we try to bring a group of people (4-8 riders) from a broad range of ages but with roughly the same motorcycle experience.

Excellent maps of IndochinaIn general maps of Thailand, Laos and Cambodia suitable for Garmin Gps systems are very poor and very expensive however, we use this Rotweiler GPS maps that have proved accurate and a great price.
